Research Trip Cairo

In December 2013 we went to Cairo to make research for a new permanent art work we are currently developing as a commission for the new building of the Goethe Institute and DAAD in Cairo. During the trip we met with a lot of really interesting people that generously gave us insider information of the recent year’s events in Egypt. We experienced a lot of great art and cultural activity that made us feel like there is hope for Egypt’s future despite of all the current frustrations and difficulties. We are looking much forward to producing this new work during the next time, which will be installed – insha’Allha – in Cairo in September 2014.
