In The Emancipation of O.O.O. J&K presents an object theatre, in which 2 performers discover a society of things that exist beyond human categorisation. Objects share their memories with us, revolt against the human reign, philosophise, take the piss and simply slip out of our grasp.

Throughout the performance, the stage slowly emerges as an interaction between artists and objects in which the borders between so-called living and non-living forms dissolve. Finally an installation of emancipated, objecting, outcast objects is taking over the stage for the remaining exhibition period.

The Emancipation of O.O.O. is the sequel of The Museum of O.O.O. and was shown as part of The Artist Theatre Festival HUBRIS curated by Christian Schmidt-Rasmussen at Overgaden, Copenhagen. The script for the performance is written in collaboration with Jonathan Bonnici.
